Karrie Page and Nicole Dickson are Registered Speech-Language Pathologists and Certified Orofacial Myologists who received their Masters of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. We have owned and operated successful private practices focusing on providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for orofacial myofunctional disorders in Alberta, Canada for almost 15 years. We are the founders and facilitators of the Oral Rest Posture Program (ORPP) for the comprehensive assessment and treatment of OMDs. We also facilitate an OMD interest group and have a passion for sharing our knowledge and clinical skills with other therapists. We are both behavior-based therapists that focus on current research and evidence-based practice.

A bit more about us… We first became interested in orofacial myofunctional disorders in 2005. After reading countless articles, numerous books and attending several courses we realized this was the missing link! We each started seeing clients and were overwhelmed with the treatment prep time needed in order to individualize each client’s program. We experienced information overload trying to link research with practice and realized there must be a better way! Now, almost 15 years later, ORPP has evolved from something we developed for our own personal clinics into a program that can help other clinicians improve their practice by more effectively treating OMDs. It is our passion to provide quality, effective and evidence-based therapy for individuals with myofunctional disorders and to share what we have created along the way with others. ORPP has transformed our practice - we look forward to sharing ORPP with you!
